IBD-Friendly by the Numbers: A New Cookbook With IBD Movement

Ben Rogers · August 28, 2026
Glyc and IBD Movement have teamed up on a new cookbook: IBD-Friendly by the Numbers. It pairs Glyc's glycemic-load data with recipes chosen for being gentle on a sensitive gut, built for anyone managing IBD alongside blood sugar. The idea came out of a real overlap. A meaningful slice of people managing blood sugar are also navigating IBD, and very little content out there considers both at once. Most food guidance treats them as separate problems, which means managing both usually means cobbling together two sets of rules that sometimes contradict each other. The cookbook draws from Glyc's library of over 100 recipes already tagged IBD-friendly, each one rated for glycemic load using the same engine behind every number on the site. Nothing here is estimated after the fact — the GL figures come directly from Glyc's own calculations, the same ones you'd see on the recipe pages themselves. If you're managing IBD and watching your blood sugar, this is built to save you the guesswork of running both sets of rules yourself. The full cookbook is available now in our store. If you want more support beyond the numbers, IBD Movement is the community it was built alongside. As always: this is general information, not medical advice. Talk to your doctor or dietitian about what's right for your specific situation.
